Color Sapphire

Sapphire belongs to the mineral species corundum.  While the term sapphire usually refers to the blue variety, sapphire can come in a variety of colors, including violet, green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, and intermediate hues.  They are called color sapphire or fancy sapphire such as pink sapphire, yellow sapphire and so on.

Their vivid colors and relatively high hardness make sapphire an ideal material for making colorful and creative jewellery items.
